About the Role
A welcoming and ambitious primary school in Islington is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking school where high-quality teaching, pupil wellbeing, and professional development are at the heart of everything they do. The successful candidate will inspire and challenge pupils as they progress through Upper Key Stage 2, preparing them for the transition into Year 6.
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 5
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
Deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons that promote high levels of achievement
Have high expectations for behaviour, attainment, and pupil progress
Use assessment effectively to plan and adapt learning for all pupils
