How Referral Recruits protects your data

Last Updated: 20 September 2026

1. Introduction

Referral Recruits is a job search engine that indexes job opportunities from external sources. We connect job seekers with relevant employment opportunities without requiring registration.

This Privacy Policy explains the limited information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you when you use our website or mobile apps.

This policy covers the Referral Recruits website and every job search app operated by iExpertini Limited, listed in Section 2.

About Referral Recruits

You can search and follow job links without creating an account. When you choose to apply, you leave Referral Recruits and provide any application information directly to the employer or job board.

We do not register users, host job applications or CVs, collect application fees, process payments, or act as the employer. We only index opportunities and refer you to the relevant third-party job source.

2. Data Controller

  • Entity: iExpertini Limited
  • Company number: 10910589
  • Registered address: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom
  • Trading as: Referral Recruits
  • Website: referralrecruits.com
  • Email: [email protected]

iExpertini Limited also operates a range of regional job search applications: US Jobs, Australian Jobs, Canada Jobs, European Jobs, NZ Jobs and UK Jobs on the App Store and Google Play, and Referral Recruits on Google Play. This policy applies to all of them.

3. Information We Collect

Information You Voluntarily Provide

  • Search queries — job search terms and filters you enter during a session
  • Communication — messages, feedback, and support requests sent to us
  • Click data — job links you view or follow, where collected by our analytics tools

Information Collected Automatically

  • Analytics — aggregated usage data, where enabled, to understand traffic and improve the platform
  • Device information — IP address, browser type, operating system, and similar technical data
  • Cookies and identifiers — essential cookies for platform operation, and advertising identifiers used by Google AdMob in our mobile apps
  • Approximate location — general location inferred from technical data, where needed to show relevant jobs
  • App integrity signals — in our mobile apps, a security token from Google Play Integrity (Android) or Apple App Attest (iOS) that confirms a request comes from our genuine app. See “Security Checks in Our Mobile Apps” in Section 7.

We Do Not Create Accounts or Store Profiles

Referral Recruits does not create user accounts, store profiles, host resumes, or process job applications. We link to external job sources.

Search activity is not used to build a user profile. Limited technical and analytics data may be retained as described in Section 9.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and improve the Referral Recruits job search platform
  • Index and display relevant job opportunities from third-party sources
  • Analyse platform usage via Google Analytics to enhance user experience
  • Display advertising through Google AdMob in our mobile apps
  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
  • Prevent fraud and unauthorised access
  • Comply with legal obligations

We Are a Job Search Engine, Not a Job Board

Referral Recruits does not accept job postings, does not store applicant data, and does not manage applications.

When you tap Apply, you are directed to the original job source, where the employer collects your application under their own terms and privacy policy.

5. Data Sharing

Referral Recruits uses only the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics — to analyse platform usage and traffic patterns (anonymised)
  • Google AdMob — to display advertisements in our mobile apps
  • Google Firebase App Check, with Google Play Integrity on Android and Apple App Attest on iOS — to confirm that requests to our search service come from our genuine app. Used for security only, never for advertising
  • Job sources — we link to external job boards and employers
  • Legal requirements — when required by law or to protect our rights

We do not host or store user profiles, CVs, or application data, and we do not sell personal information for money.

Some United States state privacy laws, including California's, define “sale” and “sharing” broadly enough to cover sharing advertising identifiers with advertising partners for personalised advertising. On that broader definition, the advertising in this app may count as sharing. You can opt out at any time: the app shows a privacy choice on first launch where these laws apply, and you can change it later from Advertising Choices in the app menu.

6. Data Security

  • Encryption — HTTPS and TLS encryption for all data in transit
  • No data storage — we do not store user profiles, CVs, or personal information
  • Minimal retention — technical logs and analytics data are retained only for security, measurement, and service improvement
  • Secure infrastructure — industry-standard security for our platform

We limit the personal information we collect and do not maintain user accounts or application records. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so we use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards for the information we process.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Because we do not create accounts or store personal profiles, there is no stored account data to access, correct, or delete. The rights below apply to the limited technical data we do process.

Access and portability

You may request confirmation of what technical data relating to you we hold, and a copy in a portable format.

Erasure

You may request deletion of server log entries or contact correspondence relating to you, subject to legal retention obligations.

Restriction and objection

You may object to, or request restriction of, processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests, including analytics.

Complaints

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. See Section 10.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.

Advertising in Our Mobile Apps

On iOS, when you first open the app, we ask whether you are willing to allow tracking across other companies' apps and websites. This is Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.

If you allow it, the advertising you see is more relevant to you. If you decline, you will still see advertising, but it will not be personalised using cross-app tracking identifiers. Declining does not limit any feature of the app.

Where data protection law requires it, we also ask separately for your consent to personalised advertising. You can review or withdraw that consent at any time from Advertising Choices in the app menu.

You can change your choices at any time:

  • On iOS — Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Tracking.
  • On iOS you can also limit personalisation under Settings, Privacy & Security, Apple Advertising, and reset your advertising identifier.
  • On Android — Settings, then Google, then Ads, and turn on Delete advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalisation.

Turning off personalised advertising does not remove ads. It means the ads you see are less relevant to you.

Security Checks in Our Mobile Apps

To protect our search service from automated abuse, our mobile apps prove they are genuine before they search. They do this with Google Firebase App Check, which uses Google Play Integrity on Android and Apple App Attest on iOS.

Each check sends Google or Apple technical information about the app and the device, such as the app's package name, version and signing certificate, and an attestation from the device. The answer is a short-lived token that our search service verifies.

This check does not identify you, is not linked to your advertising identifier, and is never used for advertising. Google and Apple process this information under their own terms.

Information Kept Only on Your Device

Our mobile apps have no accounts. Your saved searches, the applications you track, your job alert settings and your app preferences are stored only on your phone or tablet. They are never sent to us.

Job alerts are scheduled on your device. We do not run a notification server and do not receive a notification token.

To delete this information, uninstall the app or clear its data in your device settings.

8. Cookies and Tracking

Our mobile apps do not use cookies. They display advertising through Google AdMob, which may use limited technical information such as device type and approximate location to select which advertisements to show.

On our website, we use essential cookies to operate the platform and may use optional analytics or advertising cookies where you have consented. See our Cookie Policy for details.

9. Data Retention

Since we do not store user accounts or personal profiles:

  • Search queries — used only to return results. They are not linked to an account or to you, and are kept no longer than our server logs (up to 30 days)
  • Google Analytics data — retained per Google's data retention policies, typically 26 months
  • Contact form data — retained for 90 days for support purposes
  • Server logs — retained for security purposes, 30 days

Because we do not create user accounts or process applications, there is no user profile to delete. You can still contact us about technical logs, analytics data, or information submitted through a support request.

10. Regional Privacy Rights

Your rights depend on where you live. The rights in Section 7 are available to all users. The following additions apply by region.

  • European Union and EEA (GDPR) — our legal bases are legitimate interests for operating and securing the platform and analytics, and consent where required for advertising. You may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority; a list is maintained by the European Data Protection Board at edpb.europa.eu. Transfers outside the EEA rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
  • United Kingdom (UK GDPR) — equivalent rights apply. The supervisory authority is the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
  • California (CCPA and CPRA) — you have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
  • Canada (PIPEDA) — you may access your personal information and challenge its accuracy, and may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
  • Australia (Privacy Act 1988) — you have rights under the Australian Privacy Principles and may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
  • New Zealand (Privacy Act 2020) — you have rights of access and correction under the Information Privacy Principles and may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

11. Children's Privacy

Referral Recruits is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, new legal requirements, or platform improvements. When we make changes:

  • We will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page
  • We will post a notice on referralrecruits.com for material changes
  • For material changes affecting our mobile apps, we will include a notice in the app release notes
  • Where the law requires your consent, we will ask for it before the change takes effect

Because we do not maintain user accounts or an email list, we are not able to notify you individually. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.

Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
