About the Role
The Yard Driver at Arvato plays a critical role in supporting efficient yard operations, ensuring the safe and timely movement of trailers and equipment. This position is responsible for performing essential yard jockey duties, including conducting yard checks and supporting the daily flow of operations. Shift: Third Shift, Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM YOUR TASKS
* Safely operate a terminal tractor to move trailers throughout the yard.
* Perform daily inspections of containers and yard equipment to ensure operational readiness.
* Coordinate and manage trailer movement to support efficient and safe yard operations.
* Identify and report any safety hazards, equipment issues, or operational concerns.
* Maneuver and position trailers up to 53 feet within the yard, including customer drop-off areas.
* Remove trailers from dock doors and relocate them to designated staging or storage areas.
