Workflow Specialist

The Workflow Specialist is a new and distinctive junior role at BVN. You will float across the practice — embedding temporarily in project teams, observing how those teams actually work, and designing and prototyping improvements to how that work gets done. You are not part of any project's resource allocation, and you are not in the Design Technology department. You sit within EPIC (Embedded Practice Innovation Centre) and report to the Workflow Steering Group. 

Your job is to see past what people tell you, and understand what is actually true about how a team operates. You will bring that understanding back to the Steering Group, agree on the highest-value problem to tackle, and then build a better workflow — whether that means writing a Grasshopper script, automating a repetitive process, reordering a sequence of steps, or documenting a clearer handoff protocol. You will then test it with the team and gather real feedback.
