Weather Specialist
Experience - 5-12 Years
Job location - Bangalore
• Meteorological subject matter expert.
• Ensure that weather related products are scientifically accurate, operationally reliable and fit for downstream consumption.
• Works with Data Scientists on building, analyzing forecasting models, reviewing model outputs, and defining quality standards that govern what gets shipped to users.
• Up to date with recent developments of weather forecasting models both physical and AI-based.
• Mentors team members with domain knowledge on weather/climate.
• Report generation of the model analysis.
Required Qualifications
• Experience with weather forecasting.
• Proficient in Python.
• Solid understanding of forecast data formats: GRIB2, NetCDF, zarr.
• Strong communication skills
Tools/software - Python, weather data (ECMWF, NOAA)
