About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our National Underwriting MGA, Risk-Can, as a Commercial Underwriter on a permanent, full-time basis. If you have previous commercial underwriting experience and want to broaden your skills in a department that handles complex risks, this is the opportunity for you. The role offers a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite various commercial lines submissions with the intent to offer insurance solutions for brokers within department guidelines and contribute to a profitable portfolio of business
• Ensure proper underwriting, pricing, authorizing and documentation of moderate to complex new business submissions
• Work within established underwriting authority limits, structured parameters, rating matrices, and defined guidelines provided under our contracts
