Job Summary

OTA/PTA is an integral member of the Allied Health and clinical programs in which care is provided. As a member of the Geriatrics, MSK, and Multisystem Rehab team, the OTA/PTA supports the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy professions. Responsibilities include clinical duties assigned by the Occupational or Physical Therapist, providing cognitive treatment, preparing equipment, assisting with functional mobility, supervising patients, ensuring supplies, maintaining treatment areas, supervising students, participating in meetings, and cross‑functional duties.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy professions by taking responsibility for clinical duties as assigned by the Occupational or Physical Therapist; providing cognitive treatment to progress clients and prepare them for discharge, provision and maintenance of equipment such as wheelchairs etc.
