PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Tooling Supervisor is responsible for directing, coordinating and supervising all activities for the department and staff including Tool and Die Makers, Machinists, apprentices, and Team Leaders. The Tooling Supervisor is responsible for all tooling activities on all shifts. The incumbent responds to any problems employees have, and if he/she cannot solve the problem, he/she escalates the issue up the managerial chain. He/She is responsible for the quality and quantity of work coming out of the Machine and Tooling group.
