Key Job Scope and Responsibilities
- Design Development: Create original patterns, prints, and weaves for textiles.
- Technical Design: Use CAD tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Style3D) to create repeat patterns, colorways, and 3D simulations.
- Trend Research: Analyze fashion and interior design trends to inform future collections.
- Material & Production Knowledge: Select appropriate fabrics and work with production teams to ensure designs are technically feasible, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.
- Sampling: Produce or oversee the creation of prototypes and samples.
- Collaboration: Liaise with clients, stylists, and manufacturers to align with brand briefs and requirements.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop/Illustrator) and sometimes 3D software.
