Responsibilities
As a claims technician, you help review claims and establish guidelines for the claims settlement process. You serve as a technical expert and provide discipline-specific support for the settlement of medium‑complexity claims and the development of technical skills. Adaptability is essential to this position. You draw on your sound decision‑making skills to help solve technically complex problems and prepare action plans based on claim reviews. More specifically, you will be required to :
- Provide technical support for contract enforcement
- Help claims advisors develop their technical skills
- Analyze and approve claims settlements
- Conduct research and serve as resource person, proposing solutions to conflicts and situations outside the claims advisor’s scope of authority
- Revise independent adjuster claims
