About the Role
**Description:**
You will be the System Safety Engineer (SSE) for the Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (LMMFC) product line. Our team safeguards every system and subsystem we deliver, ensuring they are safe for the warfighter and fully compliant with MIL STD 882 and contract requirements.
**What You Will Be Doing**
As the System Safety Engineer (SSE) you will be the primary safety advocate, applying system safety engineering techniques to identify and eliminate hazards across hardware, software, training, and procedures. Your responsibilities will include:
•Developing and maintaining hazard analyses and software safety assessments for the end item and its subsystems.
•Creating hazardous material management plans and executing them throughout the program lifecycle.
•Recommending safety critical features, controls, and design criteria that mitigate or eliminate identified risks.
