System Controller Trainer

At AESO, we keep the lights on for millions of Albertans by ensuring a reliable and efficient electric system. As a System Controller Trainer, you’ll report to the Manager, Training and Compliance Delivery and play a vital role in shaping the next generation of system controllers who safeguard Alberta’s grid. You will apply a systematic approach to training (SAT) to design, develop, and continuously improve courses within the System Controller Training Program, while maintaining compliance with applicable Alberta Reliability Standards (ARS) and the NERC System Operator Continuing Education Program.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
