Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Obtain immediate containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action for defects discovered at incoming inspection/manufacturing floor.
• Work closely with Buyers and Vendors to close out defect cases.
• Drive internal corrective actions with immediate disposition for defects deemed Axcelis responsibility.
• Drive continuous improvement throughout the supply base to meet quality and corporate goals.
• Perform supplier assessments and audits as required by audit plans.
• Guide new vendors and enforce Axcelis’ requirements to meet world-class quality standards.
• Provide presentation materials for Board of Directors, Quality, Supplier, and Manufacturing meetings.
• Hold Quality Performance Reviews with vendors.
• Make MRB decisions and drive immediate actions by working with responsible engineers.
