Structural Engineering Intern/co‑op at AECOM, Kitchener, ON – On‑site

Responsibilities

• Structural modelling with Midas Civil
• On‑site structure inspections
• Design for municipal infrastructure using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation
• Shop drawing review
• Inspect all phases of construction to ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with specifications regarding material requirements, alignment, grade, finish, compaction, etc.
• Document site conditions, equipment, material installations, quantities and the work being performed by the contractor
• Confirm that all onsite testing during installation is in conformance with the contract specifications
• Ensure deficiencies are corrected prior to acceptance of the work
• Ensure overall data quality and integrity
• Prepare documentation for design projects and reports
