Job Summary
Facilitates decontamination, cleaning, assembling and sterilization of reusable instrumentation. Monitors and reports on compliance with sterilization guidelines and mandatory processes. Expedites the delivery of needed supplies, maintains adequate levels of supplies and equipment to ensure operations are not adversely affected.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Perform and participate in the decontamination, inspection, cleaning, assembling and packaging of medical/surgical material to included linen, instruments and equipment according to established standards and procedures to ensure a sterile and functional supply of materials; operate sterilization equipment.
+ Prepare trays according to prescribed procedures; disassemble, clean, assemble, and test instrumentation for proper functioning.
