Stamping Die Maintenance Technician

Summary

/Objective: The stamping technician is responsible for the daily set-up, running and maintenance repair of Samtec’s high speed, progressive stamping dies in a fast-moving production environment.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:

Must be a self-starter and a good time manager who displays a sense of urgency.

Use experience and training to identify tooling wear anddesign flaws for optimal quality, performance, and uptime.

Comfortable working with tolerances of .0003” or even less in some cases.

Comfortable using precision gauges and understand toolmaker principles for precision measurements.

Willing and eager to learn new technical concepts and maintenance methods.

Must be able to troubleshoot, problem solve and perform multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Must keep a clean and organized work environment.

Exhibit accountability to your teammates and Samtec.
