About the Role
Responsibilities
- Understanding business requirements of clients
- Create workflows with data engineers and automate repetitive GIS processes
- Produce accurate maps by merging drone images with existing geospatial data
- Ensure data accuracy by going out in the field to resolve conflicts
- Prepare reports, document all recommendations and solutions and maintain knowledge of all client requirements for business applications.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or Data Science (specialization in Geospatial technologies or Computer Vision a plus), Geology, Environmental Studies or any equivalent Engineering degree.
- Experience working with mapping tools like ArcGIS, QGIS and Pix4D
- Experience working with satellite imagery
- Excellent working attitude, problem solving and communication skills
- Proficiency in automating GIS processes through model builders or python coding.
