Shotfirer

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Shotfirer to join our Mining – Drill & Blast team at our Cowal (West Wyalong), NSW operations. This will be on going, long-term project work.

Both full-time and casual positions available. DIDO on a company supplied bus with accommodation available for those residing outside the West Wyalong area. Roster is 7:7 (days) – day shift only.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Support senior shotfirer with blasting activities.
• Follow Load and tie in plans.
• Explosive vehicle and magazine inspections.
• Handling explosives and ensuring safety.
• Cleaning and securing blast areas.
• Reporting incidents and completing documentation.
• Spotting MMU & Stemming loader on blast pattern.
