SHEQ Officer

(SHEQ) OFFICER The successful incumbent will report directly to the Sawmilling Production Executive.

Good written and verbal English communication skills
Xhosa language ability advantageous
Strong report writing and problem-solving skills
Sound knowledge of SHEQ systems, legal compliance, and implementation
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Health
Assist with OHS Act implementation and compliance monitoring
Conduct inspections, identify hazards, and report non-conformances
Support incident, accident, and near-miss investigations
Assist with risk assessments (HIRA) and safe work procedures
Monitor PPE compliance and contractor safety
Participate in Safety Committee meetings

Environmental
Support environmental management plan implementation
