Overview SHEQ Officer. The successful incumbent will report directly to the Sawmilling Production Executive. Core Competencies Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure Strong communication skills with ability to engage across all levels Good written and verbal English communication skills Xhosa language ability advantageous Strong report writing and problem-solving skills Sound knowledge of SHEQ systems, legal compliance, and implementation Key Responsibilities Safety & Health: Assist with OHS Act implementation and compliance monitoring; conduct inspections, identify hazards, and report non-conformances; support incident, accident, and near-miss investigations; assist with risk assessments (HIRA) and safe work procedures; monitor PPE compliance and contractor safety; participate in Safety Committee meetings Environmental: Support environmental management plan implementation; monitor waste, housekeeping, and environmental controls; assist with environmental co...
