About the Role
Responsibilities
- Manage workshop budget and resources (staff, equipment, tools, processes).
- Collaborate with Technical/Training Department on technician training programs to meet Principals requirements.
- Conduct random audits for quality workmanship and on-time delivery to meet customers expectations.
- Manage scrap parts storage and disposal (VAL-appointed scrap vendors).
- Enforce warranty procedures according to Principals guidelines.
- Partner with VAL Technical Department to address recurring technical, product, and quality issues.
- Conduct staff performance appraisals and counseling.
- Periodically monitor and review the status of roll-over vehicles, return jobs, and backordered parts.
- Team with Foreman/CSA for test drives to identify customer issues.
- Maintain a safe, clean workshop and conduct weekly ToolBox meetings to ensure a healthy, organized workplace.
