Our valued Federal Government client is currently seeking a Senior Network Support Specialist for a long term, ONSITE contract opportunity in Ottawa, Ontario. The selected consultant will provide support for the engineering evaluation, design and implementation activities for a Communications and Systems project.Roles and Responsibilities

Analyse the IT hardware requirements and provide recommendations for optimization. 

Implement, install, and configure Network equipment in racks/systems. 

Provide design recommendations for test cases.

Document the IT network setup and build/configuration. Update system documentation for any changes that occur.

Maintain network security. 

Prepare equipment block diagrams. 

Prepare cable interconnect diagrams. 

Prepare system configuration diagrams. 

Install and assist with testing equipment.
