Senior Engineering Technologist, Mechanical

Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join the team with one of our largest shipbuilding clients full-time. The successful candidate will sit out of their Ottawa office full-time and will be responsible for the following:

- Develop and interpret detailed 3D models of piping and HVAC systems using ShipConstructor.
- Identify, communicate, and help resolve integration and functionality issues within piping and HVAC systems.
- Verify model accuracy to ensure alignment with project specifications, classification requirements, and applicable standards.
- Review legacy vessel documentation and assess approved engineering changes to maintain accurate project records.
- Collaborate with structural, outfitting, and electrical teams to avoid clashes and support smooth system integration.
