Overview
As part of ATKINSRéalis' growing Rail, Transit Systems and Telecoms practice, the Bus Transit Engineer contributes specialized technical expertise to support public transit agencies across Canada and internationally. Reporting to the National Lead, Bus Transit engineering, the Bus Transit Engineer supports ATKINSRéalis' capabilities in bus systems engineering, zero‑emission fleet technologies, intelligent transportation systems, charging facilities, and depot modernization. The engineer plays a key role in delivering consulting mandates, feasibility studies, detailed designs, and implementation support for clients seeking to improve the performance, reliability, and sustainability of their bus networks. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, the Bus Transit Engineer collaborates with experts in systems engineering, infrastructure design, electrical engineering, rolling stock, operations planning, and project management.
