12 months contract Role with a local authority Summary The SEND Service Lead is a pivotal role within a local authority, tasked with providing strategic and operational leadership for the Statutory SEND Service. This position ensures the effective delivery of Education, Health, and Care (EHC) statutory functions in accordance with the Children and Families Act 2014, the SEND Code of Practice, and other relevant legislation. The role is crucial for maintaining high standards in service delivery and compliance with statutory requirements. Responsibilities Provide overall leadership, management, and accountability for the operational delivery of the SEND Statutory Service. Oversee all statutory SEND functions, including EHC Needs Assessments, Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), Annual Reviews, and Phase Transfers.
