About the Role
Job Responsibilities
Carry the legal appointment for the shaft in terms of sect 14.1(6) and 141(8) of the Mine, Health & Safety Act.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary (Bachelors) Degree or advanced Rock Engineering Certificate issued by the Minerals Council of South Africa
- Minimum of 3 years' geotechnical experience working at a mine/s of similar depth or similar geotechnical risk
- Experience in mine seismicity and the geotechnical interpretation thereof for excavation stability
- Experience in the interpretation of numerical modelling results for excavation stability
- SANIRE Membership (professional body for Rock Engineers)
- Experience working in a Mining environment
