Purpose of the Role

Conducts and implements data-gathering activities in assigned areas. Performs regular maintenance of weather stations.

Here’s how you would make an impact

1. Conducts regular in-house and field surveys to update external research data/information.
2. Compiles and reports relevant competitor and/or market activities during implementation of field surveys.
3. Updates ULFS Competing Crops Monitoring Report and maintains other External Research Databases.
4. Ensure accurate and reliable weather data through regular maintenance of weather stations, vital for informed decision-making in tobacco cultivation, by performing the following functions:
   • a. Inspects wind direction, wind speed, and voltage sensors to confirm proper operation and detect power issues.
   • b. Checks batteries and ensure a stable power supply.
   • c. Verifies the functionality and data storage of the data logger.
