Research Assistant (Science Communication)

The Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) is a University Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University Singapore that conducts fundamental research on earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, and climate change in and around Southeast Asia, towards safer and more sustainable societies. We are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated Research Assistant to work under the supervision of a Project Manager.

• Generate social media and digital content on topics related to geohazards, environment, and the funded research projects.
• Research and evaluate effective science communication strategies, including the potential role of Generative AI in facilitating science communication of research topics to diverse audiences.
• Support the research group in science communication and outreach activities.
• Assist with stakeholder engagement activities related to earthquake hazards, disaster response, and sea-level rise.
