About the Role
Duties
- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency room setting.
- Manage patient ratios effectively, maintaining a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy.
- Handle a variety of patient diagnoses such as stroke, STEMI, chest pain, trauma, and more.
- Participate in a block schedule, including 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks.
- Adhere to the dress code for licensed nursing personnel, which is solid navy blue uniforms or scrub attire.
Skills
- Respiratory: BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance, care of ventilated patients.
- IV Therapy/Phlebotomy: Central line care/management.
- Neurological: CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) management.
