Recreation & Leisure Manager

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Administrator, the Recreation and Leisure Manager is responsible for managing age‑appropriate recreation, leisure, restorative and education programs for the residents of LTC. These programs are responsive to the abilities, strengths, needs, interests, and former lifestyles of the residents. The Manager oversees day‑to‑day operations of the department through supervision of staff, budgeting and purchasing and coordination of volunteers. The Manager is also responsible for the restorative care program for the residents of the Home, including coordinating and collaborating with specialized services such as mobility vendors and therapists.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience

• Three‑year post‑secondary diploma in Recreation/Leisure Studies or equivalent
• Three years of previous experience in a long‑term care setting
• Previous supervisory experience
