R&D Senior Research Engineer

The position reports to the R&D Manager.

Senior R&D Engineer

Location: Distribution Solutions division, ABB Oy, Vaasa or Tampere.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior R&D Engineer you will contribute to new technology development, collaborate with external and internal stakeholders, manage projects, and secure external funding. Key responsibilities include:

• Research and development work in innovation projects that often involve a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Project management activities in technology and research projects: operative management, risk management, cost estimation and budgeting, stakeholder management, etc.
• Preparing funding applications to Business Finland, EU Horizon Europe, and other relevant funding sources.
• Disseminating innovations through publications, speaking at events, and potentially supporting standardization activities.
