Job Description
Product development for dormakaba's surface-mounted and concealed door closers and floor springs.
Executes detailed design of assigned components and sub-assemblies for door closers and floor springs in accordance with project requirements, milestones, and schedule.
Conducts feasibility studies, FMEA, DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis, cost analysis and material selection on assigned scope, with guidance from senior engineers on harder trade-offs.
Collaborates with manufacturing and suppliers on assigned components through DFM & DFA to ensure designs are producible and meet quality requirements.
Prepares and presents design proposals, progress reports, and test reports to project stakeholders flags risks and blockers early to the project lead.
