Purchase Engineer (Electrical / Transformer Industry)
Job Title: Purchase Engineer
Department Procurement / Supply Chain
Location: Padra, Vadodara
Reporting To
Purchase Manager / Supply Chain Head
Job Purpose
To manage procurement of raw materials, bought-out components, and services required for manufacturing electrical equipment such as transformers, ensuring cost efficiency, quality compliance, and on-time availability.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing
Source and procure materials such as:
CRGO/CRNGO steel, Copper conductors (wire/strip). Transformer oil, Insulation materials (press board, paper, epoxy), Radiators, bushings, conservators, hardware, Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors for cost-effective sourcing, Float RFQs, analyze quotations, and negotiate pricing & commercial terms, Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs)
