About the Role
Palex Portugal, a leading company in the management and distribution of innovative hospital and research solutions, is recruiting a Purchase Assistant.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analyse purchasing needs across departments, ensuring accurate specification of products, quantities, and delivery timelines.
- Request quotations and negotiate prices, lead times, and commercial conditions with suppliers, in line with company policies.
- Manage and coordinate international purchase orders, including follow-up with suppliers from order placement to delivery.
- Plan and coordinate transport for imports (road, air, and sea), ensuring cost-efficiency and compliance with deadlines.
- Liaise with freight forwarders and transport providers, monitoring shipments and resolving any transit issues or delays.
- Ensure proper documentation for import processes
