PRU Teaching Assistant

Overview

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistants to work within Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) and alternative provisions across Sheffield on a supply basis. This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people who are unable to access mainstream education due to behavioural, emotional, social, or additional learning needs. You will play a key role in helping pupils re‑engage with education, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils who may have experienced barriers to learning.
• Support behaviour management strategies and promote positive outcomes.
