Job Description & Requirements
- Cleaning, repairing, and preparing surfaces for plastering, including removing old plaster, patching holes, and ensuring a level base.
- Mixing plaster, cement, or other materials to the proper consistency, often using hand tools or mechanical mixers.
- Applying plaster coats to walls and ceilings, using trowels, floats, and other tools to achieve a smooth, even finish.
- Installing plasterboard and wallboard partitions.
- Applying finishing coats and smoothing surfaces, including sealing nail holes and joins.
- Repairing damaged plasterwork, both internally and externally.
- Communicating with clients and other tradespeople to coordinate work and ensure smooth project completion.
- Identifying and resolving issues during plastering work.
- Working effectively with other tradespeople and site managers.
- Completing tasks efficiently and within deadlines.
