Responsible for the operation and safety of the aircraft they command and for all those on board during the flight; Assist in monitoring on-board geophysical equipment; Complete preflight inspections and postflight reports; Liaise with foreign aviation authorities; For each flight, become familiar with: the planned route/flight plan; the aerodromes planned for normal and emergency use, and the survey navigation equipment and ensure that it is in working order.
