About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain MariaDB/MySQL databases, ensuring their performance, security, and availability.
- Configure and administer advanced setups, including Master‑Slave replication, Multi‑Master replication, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Set up and provision MariaDB/MySQL instances for production, UAT, and development environments.
- Perform database backups, point‑in‑time recovery, and other routine maintenance tasks.
- Optimize and fine‑tune SQL statements for better performance.
- Write and maintain Linux shell scripts for database automation and maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to recommend architecture/design improvements for optimal database performance.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and specifications.
