About the Role
Responsible for supervising all clients who have been assigned to 1:1 support.
- All support staff for 1:1 clients report directly to you.
- Provide assistance during any incident where a second person or more guidance is required. I.e.- behavioral incident, extra support with communication by providing training or guidance to the support worker.
- Provide personal care, including assisting with changing, dietary needs, and mobility when needed as a second person, if required.
- Modify or schedule activities that are better suited to the needs of the clients.
- Make every effort to include and encourage all 1:1 support workers to engage in all group programming activities.
- Provide guidance to support workers by educating them on specific approaches, transitioning tools, de‑escalation techniques etc.
