Network Security Engineer

Our client currently seeks a Network Security Engineer to join their team on an initial 12 month contract. This role will be done on a hybrid based working model (2/3 days per week in office based in Chester)

Core Requirements

• 7+ years of hands‑on network engineering experience in enterprise or large-scale environments
• Cisco CCNP or CCIE certification (active or equivalent experience strongly preferred)
• Expert‑level understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network security principles
• Cisco routing and switching (NX‑OS, IOS‑XE, IOS)
• Skyhigh Web Gateway (proxies / secure web gateways)
• F5 BIG‑IP and/or AVI Load Balancers
• Fortinet (FortiGate) firewalls
• BlueCat DNS/DHCP/IPAM
