One of Insight Globa’s top financial clients is modernizing several enterprise applications and expanding their Messaging team. They are seeking a Junior MQ Administrator to support, maintain, and grow their IBM MQ distributed environment across Linux/Unix and Windows platforms.
What You’ll Do (Day to Day Responsibilities)
MQ Platform Support & Operations
• Support the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of IBM MQ queue managers across distributed environments (Linux/Unix & Windows).
• Monitor daily MQ operations including channels, queues (QR, QL, TQ), queue managers, backup/restore activities, and message flows.
• Troubleshoot common issues such as channels down, queue backups, service restarts, connectivity failures, and security configuration issues.
• Diagnose system and MQ problems including dump analysis, root cause investigation, and remediation.
