About the company/role:
- Food testing laboratory
- Seeking an experienced Microbiologist to join the team
- Based close to Melbourne CBD
- 12-month casual contract
- Full-time hours, Monday-Friday
Duties/responsibilities:
- Routine analysis of food and water samples using aseptic microbiological techniques
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
- Media preparation
- Report writing and date entry
- General laboratory housekeeping
Skills/responsibilities:
- Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, or similar discipline
- Proven experience as a microbiologist, ideally within a NATA-accredited laboratory
- Must have prior experience in the microbial analysis of food and water related samples
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High attention to detail
