Mechanical Assembler

Tenure: Full-Time

Location: Hamilton, ON

Shift: Morning and Afternoon

Pay Rate : $23-$27 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and product specifications, and understand tolerances to determine assembly operations.
• Assist with rigging, hoisting, moving, and aligning large (up to 40 tons) subassemblies and components to storage areas or within the worksite using overhead cranes and forklifts using established safety precautions.
• Fit and assemble simple and complex parts to build heavy industrial products and equipment according to drawings and product specifications.
• Install major components such as tanks, dampers, large-scale frames, louvers, generators, insulation, soundproofing systems, and building panels using hand and power tools.
• Thread and install piping and pipe spools using engineering assembly drawings.
