Experience: Minimum 2 years as Master
Job Description
- To always protect the safety of the vessel, its crew, any other passengers, and cargo.
- Manage the operations of the vessels and day to day activities onboard.
- Promote safe working practices and procedures among crews with the objective of preventing personal injuries.
- To maintain discipline onboard.
- Ensure a high standard of communication within the vessel and between vessel and shore.
- Review the Company SMS.
- Ensure the SMS is kept up to date by liaising with the DPA to arrange audits.
- Ensure all relevant SMS records are up-to-date, complete and available.
- Report defects to the Company and other matters with implications for safe operations or pollution risk, even if the defects can be rectified by ship crew.
