The **Phosphate Make-up Operator** is responsible for operating two continuous reactors, tapping off and correcting liquor batches, pumping corrected liquors to filters, filtering liquors and supplying liquor to two rotary dryers and three SHMP plants. Also responsible for operating and cleaning the liquor filters and drum filters. The Make-up operator unloads soda ash hopper cars, samples, analyzes, and adjusts ratios and specific gravity of each batch of liquor made. As needed, the operator reprocesses sodium recycle liquor from other phosphate production areas and unloads tank cars and tank wagons of caustic soda.
