Responsibilities
Design, code, test, and debug mainframe applications using languages such as COBOL, CICS, and JCL.
Maintain the mainframe system by troubleshooting and resolving issues, performing performance tuning, and upgrading system software as needed.
Collaborate with system analysts, project managers, and other IT professionals to gather requirements and specifications for new applications or modifications to existing ones.
Maintain detailed documentation of code, processes, and system configurations to ensure clarity and compliance with standards.
Execute various forms of testing, including unit, system, regression, and integration testing to ensure the quality and functionality of applications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
