LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE

Summary This position is located in Healthcare Service, Armed Forces Retirement Home, Washington, D.C., Nursing Service. The primary purpose of the position is to administer medications to groups of Residents and to accomplish specific nursing care and nursing team-leading duties as assigned by a professional registered nurse. Responsibilities As a LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE, you will: Perform nursing assignments of a highly specialized nature to include medication administration and hands on nursing care. Identify Resident problems and provide input to the plan of care. Communicate responses and/or changes to others to include all personnel, physicians, and members of interdisciplinary teams. Describe the Resident in writing if indicated to include all the following: physical appearance, emotional status, Resident's interaction with staff and/or family, Resident's knowledge of disease process and Resident's verbal/nonverbal actions/responses.
