About the Role
Elevate safety standards as Skeena's Lead Aviation and Avalanche Technician at the Eskay Creek mine site. Drive avalanche safety and aviation operations while ensuring compliance with industry regulations in a dynamic work environment.
In this permanent, year-round role, you will report to the Health and Safety Manager, managing both avalanche safety programs and aviation operations. Your leadership will involve supervising technicians, conducting daily operations, and implementing safety protocols. Expect to coordinate closely with teams on-site, ensuring that safety measures are seamlessly integrated into projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and operate the Avalanche Safety Program
• Lead avalanche forecasting and control operations
• Supervise Avalanche Technicians and Assistants
• Coordinate avalanche safety with site teams
• Direct avalanche rescue and emergency response efforts
Requirements:
• CAA Avalanche professional with Level 2 certification
