Responsible for development and delivery of product design datasets (2 D/3 D) from concept to production and leading the development of design solutions. Support projects from Program Award through Start of Production. Responsibilities.
Manage design files, design studies, component & assembly drawings in file library system. Capable of sending files via a variety of transfer methods and formats (ex. Teamcenter). Apply knowledge of plastic part design, injection-molding into design concepts and develop “smart” parameterized 3 D CAD models and 2 D drawings in appropriate CAD environment. On time release of drawings and CAD data to meet kick-off dates. Component and system designs that meet customer performance and YFAI manufacturing requirements.
