Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care and clinical services in accordance with professional scope of practice, ethical guidelines, and protocols.
Process and analyse biological specimens, performing haematology, biochemistry, and microbiology tests to produce reliable results.
Adhere strictly to infection prevention and control protocols including hand hygiene, PPE use, and instrument sterilisation.
Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot medical and laboratory equipment, reporting malfunctions to service providers promptly.
Provide patient education and counselling regarding medications, treatment plans, rehabilitation exercises, and lifestyle modifications.
Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications, checking for drug interactions, contraindications, and appropriate dosages.
